About Camille Labchuk

camille-labchuk1Welcome to my website. In this space, I write about a few of my main interests — Canadian politics, the Green Party, and animal rights issues.

I recently completed a law degree at the University of Toronto. Before law school, I worked as Green Party leader Elizabeth May’s press secretary for several years, and ran for Parliament in 2006. I represented Ontario on the Green Party Federal Council from 2009-2012. I now work on campaigns as they arise, and write the weekly Spin Doctors column for the Green Party in the Hill Times.

I am articling at a criminal defence firm in Toronto, and I look forward to an eventual career as an animal rights lawyer. I’m on the board of Mercy For Animals Canada, and the board of advisors for Animal Justice Canada.
